A day a year in the making - I met El Jefe on the Baja beaches last year and we hit it off immediately. From the start, he encouraged me to expand tactics. And after a guided day with him two weeks ago, dios mios am I a believer now.
Casting a glass rod at jacks barreling down a teaser is absolute chaos. Throwing small, heavy flies for new species is a blast. And then the roosters, well the roosters are just a bonus. The dude is so dang fishy and fired up you just know anything is possible. Pat summed it up perfectly on the drive back “next year, full week with Jefe” and then he fell asleep.
